Sizing & Fit

These aren't just any pair of tights....

Supportive Apparel is like nothing you've ever worn before. So before you step into your new pair of Stoko’s, throw away your expectations on how athletic apparel should look, feel and be sized. To make sure you have the right size and learn what to expect for fit and feel, read below.

SIZING

WHY IS SUPPORTIVE APPAREL SIZING DIFFERENT?

Supportive Apparel combines a medical-grade brace with athletic apparel. Both parts have unique sizing needs, and height and weight ensures the most accurate fit and function.

BUT WHY do you Size based on HEIGHT AND WEIGHT?

Your height and weight determine the length and position of Stoko’s Support System. These are the best measurements to ensure our products provide the support you need to stay active.

CAN I SIZE USING Inseam and Waist measurements?

We post all of our size charts using height and weight as these are the most effective measurements to ensure our products fit and function well.

HOW TO DETERMINE YOUR SIZE

We have carefully selected height and weight as they provide the most accurate length of cable support and best apparel fit.

STEP 1

Find your height along the left hand side of the size chart. (See below).

STEP 2

From your height, follow the squares straight across until you hit your weight marked along the top of the size chart.

STEP 3

The square that you land in determines your size.

If you find yourself close to or on the boarder between sizes after following the steps, we recommend sizing up.

FIT & FEEL

WHAT DOES SUPPORTIVE APPAREL FEEL LIKE?

Imagine your favorite athletic tight with a high-tech support system seamlessly integrated! It will be a bit strange at first with pressure from the fabric and cables, but with use, it will mold to you and soon fit like a glove.

HOW IS SUPPORTIVE APPAREL SUPPOSED TO FIT?

Streamlined and next-to-skin. Our garment is compressive and patterned to keep our support system engaged with your body and maximize comfort during activity.

NOT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT?

Don't be alarmed if you don't feel any major sensations— that's the true beauty of our design. Think of it as joint support gone stealth.

Sizing & Fit FAQ's

By using height and weight, we can accurately determine the length and position of the cable support system which is not possible with traditional athletic apparel sizing.

Example: Hiking buddies Bob and Dave are looking for Supportive Apparel for their weekly hike. Bob is 5’7” and 165 lbs, while Dave is 6’2” and 150 lbs. Both Bob and Dave find they are a Men’s size Large. How is this possible? Although they each have a different height and weight, the amount of cable support system to support Bob and Dave are very similar due to the distribution in length of cable across a shorter and wider area, and a taller and slimmer area.

Currently, due to technical constraints with our support system and manufacturing process, sizes outside our current offering are not possible. This is something we will continue to discuss and work on and hope to be able to include a size appropriate for you in the future.

You’re welcome to try our product if there is a size that you are close to, however, we cannot guarantee the support of our product to users outside of our current sizing chart.

We recommend sticking with the size that you fall into based on our size chart and sizing up if you are on the edge of two sizes.

Our size charts are laid out to ensure that the size you are in will offer you the proper amount of adjustable support. There is a break-in period with our products, so the first time you get it on will not be the most comfortable but it is worth it and will only get better the more movement you put into your Supportive Apparel.

We designed gender-specific size charts to best fit our customers. The same size and weight combination on a man's garment fits very differently than on a woman's. Because of this, we cannot assess the proper support or fit you would get by switching size charts.

Currently, due to technical constraints with our support system and manufacturing process, sizes outside our current offering are not possible. This is something we will continue to discuss and work on and hope to be able to include a size appropriate for you in the future!

Right now we do not offer alternative sizing measurements because height and weight provide the most accurate fit estimation for our product. The K1 fabric is very stretchy and we find most customers are happy with the fit when using our size chart. We do offer a 60-day trial to return or exchange if you are unhappy with the fit.

Supportive Apparel is designed to fit next to skin and the cables may even feel too small initially. Don’t be concerned! They are meant to feel like one with the body and the cable support system does take time to break in, just like your favourite pair of shoes.
